The San Remo real estate development is an entry-level neighborhood of houses in Carmel Valley. The “entry-level” is relative, of course, to the relatively exensive Carmel Valley real estate market. Carmel Valley has some of the more expensive San Diego real estate prices.  But people often ask where they can get find the most affordable homes in zip code 92130, and the San Remo neighborhood is always near the top of the list.  The other lowest price homes for sale in Carmel Valley include Antares, Portico, Costa Del Sol, and The Pines.

There are a lot of great things about the San Remo homes in Carmel Valley other than price.  The location is excellent, just north of Del Mar Heights Road, less than a mile from Interstate 5. Children can walk to Torrey Pines High School, the top rated school in San Diego County, which is only about a block away. And the main Carmel Valley shopping center, Del Mar Highlands, is also within walking distance on the South side of Del Mar heights road.

The San Remo community is directly adjacent to the Torrey Highlands Park, also known as the Torrey Highlands Dog Park. There are very few leash-free zones in San Diego, so the San Remo neighborhood is really great for dog lovers.  The Torrey Highlands Park also has tennis courts which are frequented by tennis instructors for public tennis lessons.  The park also has a large playground, and the picnic areas are a beautiful setting for community events.

San Remo Homes

The San Remo homes were built between 1988 and 1991.  The streets in the community are Brixton Place, Bryson Terrace, Calcott Way, Cristallo Place, Exbury Court, Federman Lane, Graydon Road, Kerwood Court, Sturgeon Court, and Quinnel Court.  Most of these are low traffic or cul-de-sac streets.

The homes at San Remo include three and four bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,360 square feet to 2,194 square feet of living area.  Many of the houses have very nice views of the surrounding mountains and hills.
