About Antares

Antares is a lovely neighborhood of detached town homes in Carmel Valley, San Diego zip code 92130.  Antares homes for sale have typically started in the high $600,000’s but there have been some recent short sales in the $500,000’s.  This is a low price for Carmel Valley real estate.  And Antares is one of the most centrally located neighborhoods in Carmel Valley, just South of Del Mar Heights road, within walking distance to Torrey Pines High School and the Del Mar Highlands shopping center.   If you’re looking for San Diego real estate deals in a great school district, this is it.

The town homes at Antares live like detached houses.  There are two and three-bedroom floor plans to choose from, with living areas between 1,535 and 1,608 square feet.  The Antares community was built in 1999, and the neighborhood still has a new and modern feel.  The architecture is quite attractive. The exteriors of these Carmel Valley homes have two-tone stucco design and shutters on the facades, giving emphasis to the interesting angles of the design.

The interiors of the Antares homes are mostly very highly upgraded, with attractive wood cabinets, granite countertops, and abundant use of wood flooring and decorative tile.  The homes feel bright and open.  Attached two-car garages complete the feel of these Carmel Valley houses, but at a fraction of the cost of other houses for sale in Carmel Valley.

There are very few neighborhoods in Carmel Valley where kids can walk to elementary, middle, and high school from their homes.  The Antares town houses are a great option.  The community has a low home owner’s association fees of around $165/month (with an additional small $56 per month Mello Roos fee).  The HOA fee includes use of the community pool and spa, exercise room, clubhouse, and common area maintenance.  This is one of the two least expensive neighborhoods of newer Carmel Valley homes that you will find.  Also see Costa Del Sol, a few miles to the East on the I-8 Corridor.
