Geoffrey Schiering's Bio
Geoffrey Schiering brings a unique skill set to the San Diego real estate scene. He is well known in the communities of Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Penasquitos for his always-professional, relaxed and friendly style. Geoffrey developed his win-win negotiating style as lawyer in the 1990’s. (University of San Diego School of Business; Univ. of Cincinnati School of Law – JD. / M.B.A.).
What does it mean to be a great San Diego Realtor? “Our clients depend on us for professionalism and we go the extra mile,” says Schiering. “There is a need for professional real estate service in San Diego, and we fill it.” And, in fact, Mr. Schiering is the go-to source for information about homes, properties, and neighborhood news in San Diego.
Geoffrey regularly appears as the San Diego real estate news correspondent on the CNBC Powerlunch TV Show with Tyler Mathisen. “On the CNBC Powerlunch program I give San Diego real estate news updates. And at the same time I promote individual houses for sale. I discuss the latest developments in our community and the benefits of our neighborhoods. The featured homes get incredible global TV exposure, which is great for my clients. The houses are promoted on global television attracting interest from high net worth individuals and property investors all over the world, and many of the homes have sold quickly for top dollar as a result. And the communities as a whole benefit also as I am always happy to tell the world how San Diego is the best place to live in the United States.”
“I’ve spent a professional lifetime developing real estate related technology, implementing marketing strategies and promoting San Diego neighborhoods. I also go to great lengths to be involved with the community. At all times I am committed to remaining humble and “real”, without pretense and without exaggeration. This is what I consider being a “professional” San Diego Realtor, and that’s what the San Diego Realty Pros name is all about. It’s a true honor to build relationships with people who I’ve come to know and respect. And when the time comes for people to sell a home in San Diego, my technology, systems, networks, and relationships are put to good use helping others. Selling houses more quickly and for more money is a great way to help!”
As a California Real Estate Broker since 1999, Geoffrey’s experience with real property law, contracts, negotiations, and finance has been a source of strength for top-tier home buyers and sellers. An active member of the San Diego Association of Realtors® since 1999, Mr. Schiering frequently shares his knowledge and experience with his peers.
And how does Geoffrey’s real estate career compare to his prior experience as an attorney? “I work even harder as a real estate consultant,” Geoffrey admits. “I’m still able to solve problems and negotiate agreements. But the best part is seeing the smiles on my clients’ faces when I help them buy and sell homes.”

Geoff did a great job helping my family sell a home in Carmel Valley and buy a home in Del Mar. Geoff is extremely motivated and professional. He has a pleasant demeanor, yet is a serious go-getter. His marketing plan was aggressive. In less than a week he found a buyer for our house in Carmel Valley. Geoff advised us to reject the first offer that came in, and it’s a good thing we did. He brought us a buyer who paid substantially more for our home. Then when we found a house in Del Mar that we love, Geoff helped us negotiate a great deal. I can’t say enough good things about his negotiating skills. It is clear that Geoff uses his experience as a lawyer to excel as a Realtor.
