Where to Buy A Home In San Diego

Choosing the right neighborhood when buying a House, Condominium, or Investment Property In San Diego.

Many home buyers find that the decision of where to buy a house is based largely upon financial considerations.  Although we would all love to live in a house near the beach with a view of the ocean, the economics of supply and demand keep beachfront home prices out of reach of most of the population.  Use the San Diego MLS Search at the top right corner of this page to see the San Diego homes for sale in any price range.

Aside from price, another factor to consider when buying real estate in San Diego is the traffic and commute. Driving from Del Mar homes to jobs in Downtown San Diego might take 30 minutes. Although Solana Beach is adjacent to the North of Del Mar, the drive from Solana Beach to Downtown may be 45 minutes or an hour. And La Jolla may be closer geographically to Downtown, but traffic in and out of La Jolla can add another 15 minutes to the drive, making it a longer commute than the drive from Del Mar!

Call your real estate professionals at Keller Williams Realty for information about driving times and commuting distances in San Diego. Recent construction along I-5, particularly the merge with I-805 can make drive times from North County, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Carmel Valley particularly difficult. Completion of Route 56 has made houses, condominiums, and investment properties in Carmel Valley, Rancho Penasquitos, Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Scripps Ranch much closer to homes in La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Point Loma and Downtown.

You have qualified San Diego Realtors standing by to help you analyze your best options for houses, condos, and San Diego investment properties in the area. We can help you estimate driving times from point A to point B in San Diego County. Just call (619) 200-7612. Your real estate consultant is standing by.
