Santaluz is a prestigious upscale neighborhood of upscale luxury homes at the southwest corner of Rancho Bernardo, zip code 92127.  The golf community was thoughtfully designed to blend into, and enhance, the gorgeous countryside.  Santaluz is surrounded by mountains, and picturesque semi-arid valleys.  The development is unique to San Diego, in that the landscaping in the area is almost entirely restricted to drought-tolerant native species.  The results are breathtaking.

The neighborhood of Santaluz is rather small, with only 942 residential lots in the area. There are several somewhat closely-adjoined developments of houses at Santaluz, but the density averages only one house for every four acres.  The custom home sites and estates in the area are scattered around the hillsides on multiple acre parcels.  The semi-custom developments include Balsera, Casitas, Verrazzano, Creekside, Haciendas Sur, Mirasol, Posadas, Santa Monica, and Sentinels.

The golf course at Santaluz was designed by Rees Jones, spreading majestically over more than 250 acres.  A championship Par-71 course measuring 7,112 yards, the course has a slope rating of 135, making it a delightful challenge for even the most serious golf enthusiast.

Residents of the various Santaluz neighborhoods all have access to the community pool, clubhouse, and fitness center.  Social events are frequently held in the neighborhood, including family movie nights and fireworks displays. 

More than just a golf community, this is an area that anyone would enjoy, from singles, families with children, to empty nesters and retirees.  Conveniently located just a few minutes from Highway 56 off the Camino Del Sur exit, the neighborhood has easy access to the beaches in Del Mar, and to both Interstate 15 and Interstate 5.

Santaluz is in the Poway Unified School District.  The neighborhood elementary school, Willow Grove, was built in the late 2000’s, followed by the equally new Del Norte High School.  Students here enjoy all the modern amenities to give them an edge in academic achievement.
