Gated Communities In Rancho Santa Fe

A picturesque and stately neighborhood at the east side of Rancho Santa Fe, south of The RSF Farms, the Rancho Farms Estates is a gated community (really several gated communities) of luxury homes that were mostly built in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.  There are only thirty six homes in the neighborhood.  The lots sizes are comfortably large, ranging from one and a half acres to over three acres. 

The cul-de-sac streets leading to the Rancho Farms Estates are on the south side of the street across from The Farms golf course.  Each street has its own electronic gate with electronic entry.  The gates are not staffed with guards.

The houses in the Rancho Farms Estates are of various sizes and styles.  Most of the homes have between 4,500 and 6,500 square feet of living area.  The styles are mostly contemporary, Tuscan, and Mediterranean.  The views from a majority of the lots are wonderful, facing north overlooking The Farms, East toward Santaluz, or South toward Fairbanks Highlands.

A modest homeowner’s association fee of around $225 per month covers common area maintenance and maintenance of the private roads and gates in the community.  There are no common area amenities, but most of the luxury homes in the Rancho Farms Estates have their own pools and spas, sports courts, and the like.
