Montecito
Rancho Santa Fe Real Estate
Located in the Northeast section of Rancho Santa Fe, outside The Covenant, Montecito is an upscale community of 36 executive homes designed by architect Buzzard-Henning and built by Ray Watt. The houses were built in 1984 at the time that the Olympic equestrian events were being held at Fairbanks Ranch, right down the street. These are affordable homes by Rancho Santa Fe real estate standards, but still on the upper end compared to other San Diego real estate.
Houses at Montecito in Rancho Santa Fe have a Mediterranean-Spanish flare, and were mainly intended as residences for empty-nesters, singles, or retirees. Most of the residences enjoy open views of the surrounding hills, mountains, and canyons. There are three floor plans, with comfortable sizes of 2,200 to around 3,000 square feet. Residents of the neighborhood enjoy access to the community pool and fitness center. The homeowners pay a monthly fee of around $500 per month which covers common area maintenance and use of the pool and recreational facilities.
