Rancho Santa Fe Property

At the north side of Rancho Santa Fe, outside The Covenant, The Groves is a neighborhood of mostly custom-built California ranch, Spanish/Mediterranean style homes on large lots of between one and four acres.  Development of houses at The Groves here was begun by William Strong in the 1980’s, and the homes have been periodically remodeled and rebuilt since that time.

There are forty four home sites in The Groves.  It is a gated community, but the gates are not guarded.  Amenities include two tennis courts, hiking trails and manicured common areas, with over 50 acres of open space.

This is a particularly hilly section of Rancho Santa Fe.  The neighborhood was originally an agricultural area of Valencia orange groves, and hence the name of the community. The hilly terrain affords residents of the area some magnificent views of surrounding valleys and hillsides.  Mature trees, including tropical palms and citrus, are a hallmark of the landscape in the area.

    It takes less than ten minutes to drive from The Groves to the Village of Rancho Santa Fe.  Just to the North is the Olivenhain section of Encinitas.  About ten minutes in the other direction and you’re in Solana Beach or Del Mar.  The weather here is temperate, some say ideal.  The Groves is one of the best locations in San Diego County.
