Torrey Pines State Beach and Black’s Beach is a two mile long, sandy strip situated at the base of majestic cliffs up to 300 feet high. It is formally known as Torrey Pines City Beach, below Torrey Pines golf course. There are no homes for sale immediately adjacent to the state reserve. Nearby are the upscale neighborhoods of La Jolla and Del Mar.
La Jolla Shores (8200 Camino del Oro) is a sandy beach approximately one mile long, adjacent to a gorgeous residential area of La Jolla homes.
La Jolla Cove (1100 Coast Boulevard) is a very small beach, tucked between adjacent sandstone cliffs. Due to its extraordinary beauty, La Jolla Cove is one of the most photographed beaches in Southern California. It is adjacent to La Jolla Village.
La Jolla Children’s Pool (850 Coast Boulevard), also known as the Casa, is a small beach partially protected by a seawall. This is a very picturesque beach with a panoramic view. Also near La Jolla Village, commercial district, condominiums, and luxury homes.
Mission Beach is the center of The Strand. The Strand is the most popular beach area in the City of San Diego and draws large crowds in summer. The nearby residential mix includes luxury Pacific Beach homes, beach cottages, and condominiums.
Pacific Beach stretches over two miles just south of La Jolla. The continuous stretch of beach known as “The Strand” becomes Mission Beach and then South Mission Beach, eventually ending at the channel entrance to Mission Bay. Pacific beach is adjacent to a popular residential neighborhood of houses, condominiums, and townhomes. The commercial areas of Pacific Beach and Mission beach include shops and restaurants catering to locals and tourists. Windansea Beach (6800 Neptune Place) is perhaps best known for its beautiful scenery and surf breaks created by underwater reefs. Located at the south side of La Jolla, the beach is surrounded by quiet residential streets, upscale homes, and a redeveloped commercial district with shops and restaurants.
Ocean Beach (1950 Abbott Street) is located in the community of Ocean Beach. Famous for being the most “laid back” neighborhood in San Diego, Ocean beach offers beachfront condominiums and an established residential neighborhood of houses, condominiums, multiple-unit properties, and beach cottages.
