One of my favorite ancillary activities as a San Diego Realtor is appearing on CNBC Powerlunch with Tyler Mathisen.  This time we focus on homes for sale in Rancho Bernardo.  As discussed in the video, the Poway Unified School District is one of the top school districts in San Diego County, and the schools are a big draw to the neighborhood.  The teaser question of the day… Who is the most famous golfer from San Diego?  Pro golfer Phil Mickelson of course!  And Phil lives just a few miles away from Rancho Bernardo, in the upscale community of Rancho Santa Fe. At this time, the median price of a home in San Diego is $498,000, with inventory of about 8,000 homes for sale.

Rancho Bernardo Homes For Sale

The segment begins with a discussion of 11304 Capilla Road in Westwood, one of the older neighborhoods in Rancho Bernardo.  This home was featured because it isn’t easy to find a five bedroom house in Rancho Bernardo priced in the $500,000’s.  This house was sold after just one day on the market.

4S Ranch House
4S Ranch Rancho Bernardo house featured on CNBC

The second house featured here is on Cross Stone Drive in the 4S Ranch neighborhood of Rancho Bernardo, 92127.  This is considered a “move-up” house because at $875,000 it is above the price range of the typical first-time home buyer.  Most families start out with a three or four bedroom house and then later move up to five or six bedrooms as income levels rise, snd as their families grow and need larger houses.  4S Ranch is a good choice for people in San Diego who want a large, newer home in a generally reasonable price range.  This house is on a quarter acre lot, with a nice play area in the back yard.

The third Rancho Bernardo house for sale that is featured in this segment is on Tallow Tree Lane in the Savenna development of Rancho Bernardo.  With five bedrooms, 5 1/2 bathrooms and over 5,000 square feet of living area, and priced at $1.6M, this is considered an “executive home” or “luxury home” in San Diego County.  The Santa Fe Valley has some very nice luxury home gated communities.  The neighborhood of Savenna was built by Colrich Communities.  This home is on a half acre in a gated community with only 213 homes.  The community is right down the street from Rancho Santa Fe… so here you are practically neighbors with Phil Mickelson!

Tyler Mathisen notes that “the weather really stinks” here in San Diego, right?  You’ve got to love the humor!  With an average climate around 72 degrees and sunny, San Diego has to be the best place to live in the United States.  Call Geoff Schiering at 619-200-7612 for more information about buying or selling a home in North County San Diego.  You may have your house featured on CNBC Powerlunch with Tyler Mathisen!
