Its a good news that Cali is recovering from this downturn. At least people will have their hopes up again coz this is a good sign of recovery.

It’s hard not to feel like the banks got the best end of the stick in this downturn and recovery. The expectation was that they would return to business as usual, making loans and helping the general economy recover. Instead they are investing the money that the government gave them, and the general population is relying upon FHA loans to buy homes. There is no social responsibility in the banking sector.

I’m really not sure that it is an official moratorium that is holding back release of foreclosure properties in San Diego. The “business decision” by the banks was not legislated.

I’m betting that now that the moratorium is officially over here in California that we will see a lot of new REO listings – especially here in the Hemet – San Jacinto Valley where I live and work.

They do have over 100,000 properties. In fact, they have closer to 200,000 properties. I checked it out a while ago and I was STUNNED at the amount of great places.

We are noticing the same thing in the Inland Empire. I heard through an asset manager that I know that BofA has over 100,000 properties in San Diego county alone.

I think now is the time to buy in California, since the prices are just going to go up. Who ever has money should cash in on the opportunity.
